Rosé wine
TERROIR
Located at the highest point of the Bandol appellation, this exceptional estate overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and benefits from an ideal mix of hot sunny days and nights. The particularity of La Bégude is its extraordinary diversity of soils and expositions.
This mosaic of vines looks like a painter’s color palette. The domaine is managed by Guillaume Tari, the 7th generation of winemakers, raised and trained at Château Giscours in Margaux, resulting in unique and elegant wines.
The vineyard is certified organic and produces red, rosé, and white wines belonging to the Bandol AOC, one of the most renowned appellations in France.
KNOW-HOW
Since his arrival in 1996, Guillaume Tari has banned any brutal intervention, weed killers, pesticides and chemical fertilisers and has favoured seasonal cultivation methods, particularly ploughing and manual harvesting. Hand-harvesting is done in small baskets. Followed by double sorting, total destemming, berry crushing. Vinification process: slow, drawn-out manual pressing of berries at low pressure, and a maceration for a few hours. Cold settling before alcoholic fermentation. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Aging on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. He vinifies wines for everyday enjoyment as well as for ageing, without artifice, out of fashion, pure reflection of the terroir and the personality of the vintage.
WINE
Served preferably at 10 degrees, this delicious rosé from Bandol has explosive aromas of peach, red and citrus fruits, it is quite simple, nothing and nobody can resist it. Elegant and well-balanced, this Bandol is a beautiful gastronomic rosé, but above all a wine for sharing!
TASTING NOTES
“This rosé is not completely nude; he’s wearing a beautiful dress, wide, pink, and deep. We just like to express the terroir side of the place, and the variety we are producing.” – Guillaume Tari
